Bubba awoke from his dream with a shudder. Something was rustling around outside the tent. Squeezing his eyes closed he counted to ten and prayed the sound would disappear. When he opened his eyes, he felt the fear in him rise up from his feet, warm and snug inside his Acorn 10148ALB Camo Fleece Slippers, all the way up to the tip of his pug nose.
Quietly (for him) unzipping his 4X girth from his sleeping bag he located his flashlight, emergency whistle and pepper spray dangling from a clip in the peak of the tent. Moving as quietly as a grizzly bear looking for a snack in a careless camper's pack, Bubba pushed aside the tent flap and glanced around. It barely flinched and as Bubba put his bare foot on the soggy ground, he then remembered the whistle and blew it hard. The masked bandit dropped the food and scampered off into the woods.
