Ariat Boots: 10002204 Distressed Brown Western Heritage Cowboy Boots
The Ariat 10002204 Western Men's Distressed Brown Heritage R Toe Boots are made to look worn out and distressed, in a design we can only call ironic. Because of the comfortable design and quality materials, these boots will leave your feet feeling the opposite of worn and stressed.
The embellished brown leather shaft looks great with that slight patina, but we can assure you the full-grain material is brand new. Full-grain leather has the strength and durability it takes to protect all the cows of the world, but enough flexibility to make your steps through that world easy and carefree. The 13-inch height of the leather shafts gives these boots a classic cowboy look.
Leather lining adds another layer of flexible strength, creating double the durability. Inside, gel-cushioned footbeds provide cushioning and metatarsal support pads to keep feel comfortable. A contoured heel cradle gently supports this strike area.
The cowboy heel and slim, R toe design create a perfect cowboy profile. Duratread rubber soles complete the design, supporting steps with the force-absorbing strength of rubber. Ariat 10002204 Western Men's Distressed Brown Heritage R Toe Boots dispel and prevent foot stress, because you've got enough of that in your life.

Nice Boot, But Not For My Feet...
The thing about western boots, more so than any other type of boot, is that what works for one person, in terms of fit, will not work for another. Generally, if I buy a work boot in my size, regardless of what company makes it, it will usually fit about the same. Not so with cowboy boots because the lasts vary a great deal. If you want to buy a western boot online, take my word for it, the thing to do is find a store that carries the boot you're interested in and try it on, then buy it online, where you will probably find a better price. (Such as here.) I didn't do that, and having worn western boots for most of my life, you'd think I would know better. The size and style of boot that always worked for me in Dan Post and Tony Lama boots did not fit me well in Ariat. I liked the boot, and thought it was well made, but I'd never tried on an Ariat before and so I gambled...and lost. I wound up selling these boots to a co-worker, who wears them all the time and loves them because they fit his feet just fine. Also, if you haven't worn western boots before, be aware that you must have them fit snugly over the top of your foot, because your heel will slip in the boots until they become broken in. And wear thick socks.
