The Bates Boots 1788 uppers are constructed from full grain leather for a superior fit and foot and ankle protection. The speed laces are a top feature among time-pressed military personnel.
The Vibram Extreme rubber outsoles are attached with direct attach construction for increased flexibility and less weight. These outsoles are slip resistant and are rated for oil resistance. The outsoles on the Bates 1788 also feature the Bates DuraShocks comfort technology which absorbs shock and provides positive energy return which will reduce foot fatigue. In addition, these Bates military boots are equipped with removable insoles for an additional layer of cushioning and arch support.
