Bates Riding Collection: Women's 47101 Black Albion Logger Riding Boots
Never has the old adage, “you reap what you sow” rung truer than when it comes to motorcycle boots. If you think any pair of shoes will give you good traction, support, and stability, you and your feet will be sorely mistaken. Not all work boots are created equal and if you insist on wearing a pair of shoddily constructed shoes with very little traction and cushioning, you’ll reap a pair of tired, sore, and unhappy feet before the day is over. Treat your feet to a pair of Bates Riding Collection Women's 47101 Black Albion Logger-Styled Riding Boots and you’ll reap an energized, relaxed, and blissfully happy pair of feet.
You may be wondering why these are called both motorcycle boots and logger boots, well, that is because they serve a dual purpose. The black leather uppers, rugged design and leather soles allow for a great ride on your bike. The logger design of these work boots includes their 1.5 inch heels to give you just a bit of lift and the 90 degree heels help your feet grip ladder rungs, climbing pegs or motorcycle footrests better.
These tough-as-nails Bates boots are made of naturally durable and abrasion-resistant full-grain leather. The strongest and most durable part of the hide of an animal is just below the hair. The grain pattern in this part of the hide is very tight, and the leather on these is called full-grain leather. Since the grain is so tight, it also resists moisture very well. Full-grain leather also ages well, so rather than looking tired and worn, the leather develops a beautiful patina over time in these Bates Riding Collection boots.
These 5.5 inch black leather boots offer you lots of adjustability when it comes to the fit. The lace-up styling allows you to adjust how snug these women's boots fit around your feet. You can make them as tight, or as loose as you prefer. For your convenience, an inside locking YKK zipper makes it easier to get in and out of your motorcycle boots. At the end of the day, you don’t have to deal with untying all those laces. A buckle on the outside top of the shaft allows you to further customize the fit while giving your Bates Albion boots an edgier, designer style.
Once inside, your feet will be greeted by a soothing and comforting full-length sock liner. The sock liner in these work boots acts as a buffer between your feet and your hard work floor. Your feet will be cradled in pillow-like softness.
For your safety, the oil-resistant rubber lug outsole offers excellent traction control. The thick soles are designed with deep indentations to improve stability on various terrains. Constructed using the highly durable Goodyear Welt method, these Bates boots will outlast many of your other work or riding footwear that aren't built as strong. Goodyear welt construction means the lining, uppers, and soles are stitched, rather than glued, giving you one tough-wearing pair of motorcycle boots. This method of construction also allows the soles to be repaired or replaced as many times as needed.
Invest in a pair of Bates Riding Collection Women's 47101 Black Albion Logger-Styled Riding Boots and you’ll reap an energized, relaxed, and blissfully happy pair of feet.

Took a little getting use too....
A very heavy boot! Toe is a little narrower then a previous brand of a similar style I owned. These are made better however. The foot bed is very hard. I added an insert and it helped.
Did need to wear them a few times to start to feel comfortable.
I would buy them again but don't think I will ever need to as this boot is very well made and can be resoled if ever needed.
