Benchmade Knives: American-Made 581 Black Barrage Osborne Folding Knife
Your right hand falls asleep because you've been using it to open boxes for the last two hours. Are you going to stop getting work done? When you've got the Benchmade Black 581 Barrage Osborne USA-Made Knife, there's no reason this scenario will slow you down. Benchmade designed this sharp blade so it can be used with either hand, any time.
The Benchmade knife has a black handle that supports a tough blade made of Bohler M390 super steel, a new type of steel made by Benchmade. The super steel rated 60-62 on the HRC scale, making it extremely hard to hold a very sharp edge. The thickness of this blade is .121 inches to create a razor-like edge of cutting power. The drop-point blade may be opened with an ambidextrous thum stud that can be used with either hand.
The black knife opens to 8.35 inches, closing to an easy-to-store 4.75 inches. The handle is only 0.65 inches thick, creating an overall slim design that can be stored with the reversible tip-up pocket clip. Transfer the clip to either side. Thanks to the AXIS-assist locking mechanism, the blade will stay open once it's open, making it a much safer tool to use.
The Benchmade 581 Barrage Osborne Black American-Made Knife weighs only 5.2 ounces, but it packs a lot of power. Use it with either hand, and don't let anything stop you when you're at work. To help you with those boxes, order your Benchmade accessory from Working Person's Store today!

Have had the knife a few days now. It arrived with a weird grind (edge wise) I didn't like. Sharp on one side, dull on the other. So I re-profiled it with the Edge Pro system to 15º per side. Factory edge was something weird like 20/25 - took awhile to get both edges on par and to 15º. After I got it scary sharp I took it outside and annihilated some branches I found on the ground. Taking great pains to essentially ruin my freshly scraped and polished scary sharp edge. It held up ok. But after I was done molesting the hell out of the edge with multiple hard old dried out branches and softer wet branches, It wouldn't shave my arm hair much at all. Few quick passes on my Sharpmaker it shaves hair with ease. So given the ease at which my edge was restored to more than adequate sharpness, I'm far from being malcontent. I'm absolutely fine with the steel's performance. Good knife.
