We know you take a lot of pride in your equipment, which is why we know you'll appreciate the sleek design and compact power of Benchmade 556 Mini-Griptilian Pardue USA-Made Plain Edge Knife.
The sharp blade is crafted with 154 CM stainless steel, a premium-grade metal known for its corrosion-resistance. Measuring almost 3 inches, this stainless steel blade on the Benchmade knife is big enough for the tough jobs, but it's also easy to manage. The drop-point blade style makes the tip of the blade extra strong and gives you a larger slicing area.
Equipped with an ambidextrous thumb-stud opener, this USA-made knife gives you easy access. Benchmade's patented Axis locking mechanism keeps you in control with a secure system. The Axis liners are made with stainless steel for abrasion-resisting strength.
The black handle of the Mini-Griptilian knife is made to be durable. A textured grip makes the molded handle easy for you to manipulate, and the black knife comes with a clip for added convenience.

I bought the this plain edge Mini-Griptilian as a birthday gift for my son. He is tickled with it, so I can't fault it. I did try opening it a couple of times, and was not disappointed with the slick action and lockup of the Axis mechanism. This knife is so quick and easy to open that an automatic or assisted mechanism is really not necessary. The blade is sharp out of the box, usually the case with a new Benchmade.
You don't have to spend this much to get a serviceable EDC knife, but the quality of a Benchmade knife is evident. One of life's small pleasures is to be able to perform everyday tasks with a tool so nicely crafted.
