This Benchmade 585 SBK Osborne Design Mini-Barrage Combo Edge Knife is the perfect multi-purpose knife, and a great addition to your toolbox until hunting season comes along. The Drop-point blade has plenty of belly for slicing, and has an ambidextrous thumb-stud opener for quick access. This blade is constructed from 154 cm Stainless Steel, so you know it can handle tough applications. Because of the BK1 coating, the blade offers great corrosion resistance and rugged edge quality. It also exceeds ASTM standards for saltwater.
The black handle is constructed from Valox, a reinforced resin. The handle has 420J stainless steel liners and a reversible bright split arrow clip. An Axis assist-locking mechanism keeps the blade securely in place. This Benchmade 585 SBK Osborne Design Mini-Barrage Combo Edge Knife measures 6.91” in overall length with a blade length of 2.91”. The closed length is 4.00” and it weighs only 3.40 oz.

The Mini-Barrage did not disappoint. It is very easy to open with one hand, comes extremely sharpe and the closure mechanism naturally draws your fingers out of the way the the edge when closing the knife. I also enjoy the location of the carry clip, which allows the knife to be drawn out of the pocket and opened in one smooth motion without any fumbling. The materials are high quality and there is no blade wobble when the knife is locked open.
The knife is noticeably heavy for its size when closed but balances out very nicely once open. All said, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product.
