The hardness rating shows that you can sharpen your knife when you want, but it won't need re-sharpening often.

Layered carbon fiber scales create an easy-to-grip, tough handle. Each thin, plastic-like fiber is constructed in a durable, layered method. The textured handle is easy to grip, so you can wield your knife with ease. The handle is 1/2 inch thick, and easy to hold in one hand.

Closed, this knife is only 4.87 inches long and 8.67 inches fully open. The smooth, clip point, tip-down style makes this knife great for slicing, cutting and chopping. A locking liner mechanism keeps the blade in place.
