The Berne HJ51 DBN Men’s Dark Brown Hooded Jacket is made with heavy-duty 100% cotton duck. Cotton duck is a heavy cotton fabric, often referred to as canvas, which is treated with water repellant to keep you drier. The fabric is tightly woven to provide wind and snag resistance.
Did you know that duck fabric has a long history? The term duck comes from the Dutch word, “doek,” which describes the linen canvas used for sailors’ clothing. Although linen duck fabric was the original, cotton is often used for duck cloth now.
You’ll stay warm and comfortable with the heavyweight insulation that’s quilted to a warm, brushed tricot lining. The taffeta lining in the sleeves won’t catch on your work shirts as you put your jacket on. The knit cuffs and waistband will keep you warmer by blocking cold air.
