This performance-driven black Welding Jacket is made from Black Stallion's DURALite premium pigskin leather. Twice as durable and 50% lighter than split cowhide, you'll feel safer and more comfortable in this jacket. It's even stitched with flame-resistant Kevlar for added protection. The 30-inch design features a corduroy-lined collar, satin-lined sleeves, wrist snaps and adjustable waist straps for a versatile fit. You'll find scribe and inside pockets for storage. The buttons and stress points are reinforced throughout for extra durability.

The lack of overpowering chemical smell is a bonus. This jacket is not dripping tanning chemicals, as some cheaper, lower quality other leather products.
I ordered what I considered to be my correct size, and the fit was perfect. For all of these reasons, I highly recommend this item as a great gift for the welder in your life.
When would I not suggest this jacket? I would not suggest this jacket if your welder is collecting dust. If this is the case, then you don't need this jacket. If you only weld every now and then, such as in some automotive shops, then get a basic jacket.
