These lace-up boots are made with the best materials. Glossy genuine leather is a full-grain, a highly natural material that's durable and flexible. A molded thermoplastic polyurethane toe guard protects the leather against scuffing.
The removable, easy-to-clean polyurethane footbeds are designed with Blundstone's Shock Zone technology, part of the SPS total shock protection system. Lightweight, rubber-like polyurethane helps absorb impact. Comfort Pods provide extra shock protection at the balls of your feet. More soft polyurethane was used in the midsoles, another comfort layer.
The midsole is also resistant to non-metallic penetration. Thanks to moisture-controlling lining inside each boot, sweat will be gently wicked away. Add lightweight, non-metallic nylon shanks, and you've got plenty of foot support.
These boots are designed with arch support to keep muscles from feeling fatigued. The heel breast design means the heel is a non-wedge shape, making it great for using on ladders. The high-density nitrile rubber outsoles are designed in a new L-protection, nail-proof style. Compliant with BS EN ISO EN 20345 safety standards, these soles offer penetration-resistance over the entire sole area without compromising flexibility.
The 5mm tread on the soles is protected from heat (up to 300 degrees C), oils, acid, organic fats, even slipping hazards so steps stay steady. The broad-fitting, impact-resistant steel toe caps and ergonomically-engineered toe springs create a comfortable foot environment.
Blundstone 914 Men's Black Slip Resistant Oil Rigger Boots are also ASTM F2413-05 approved for electrical shock resistance, protecting sensitive electronics from static energy. These boots aren't bright and they aren't colorful, but they are everything you need on the job.
