You're not going to win any fashion awards wearing these Blundstone 018 Men's Waterproof Grey Metatarsal Gumboot Boots, but do you really care? Your feet won't look very good after they've been mangled by workplace nails, falling objects and painfully cramped muscles -- no matter what kind of footwear you've got on. But when you wear these tall boots your feet will be safe, and that really is pretty.
These grey boots are made with a PVC/nitrile compound that combines the strength of plastic-like polyvinyl chloride with nitrile rubber. The plastic/rubber combination creates a tough outer shell that resists water, wind, rips. . .and whatever your workday’s got. The uppers resist chemicals, oils, even acid thanks to the tough, dual-density design. The ankle, heel and instep have been reinforced for added durability.
Your feet will be encased in toughness, but beneath this they’ll be surrounded by softness. You’ll take every step on top of soft EVA footbeds with Poron cushioning in the heel and foreparts, where your feet put pressure. The removable insoles are cleanable for odor control.
Even the tops of your feet will be softened, and protected. The metatarsal guards soften impact that could break the tender bones in the tops of your feet. They’re integrated with Poron cushioning that surrounds feet in lightweight, flexible softness.
The midsoles are resistant to steel penetration, protecting you from workplace nails and other hazards. The broad-fitting steel toe caps guard against dangers that might come from above. Made with ergonomically engineered toe springs that prevent fatigue, the toes are part of the comfortable, safe design.
Blundstone 018 Men's Waterproof Grey Metatarsal Gumboot Boots are certified to ASTM F 2413-05 safety standards, including electrical shock resistance. They won’t absorb static electricity, or anything else unsafe. Safety means a lot more than fashion.
