Combining premium, black leather uppers with an interior PORON XRD comfort system, these Blundstone boots are water resistant, comfortable, and safe. Starting with a wider fit, they're built for comfort. They've got padded collars and tongues to add extra shielding for your delicate parts.
Inside, you'll find moisture-wicking linings. They're breathable and keep your feet cool and dry. Polyurethane midsoles provide cushion and protect your feet from impact.
The outsoles are made of thermo urethane (TPU). They're heat-resistant to 140 degrees Celsius, so even if you decide to wear them on an equatorial hike in July, the soles won't melt. And if you do wear them on some sort of exotic safari, you'll love that the outsoles are highly resistant to abrasion, hydrolysis and microbial attack. They also have 6 mm treads that are oil, acid and organic fat resistant. These steel toe boots stand up to extreme conditions.
Several safety features protect your feet from dangerous, on-the-job conditions. A steel shank provides maximum torsional stability. It forces the boots to break where they should with each step you take. This keeps them from pinching or twisting in uncomfortable ways. And the steel toe caps are broad fitting and 200 joule impact resistant Type 1 caps. In the back, molded TPU heel guards surround your heels with firm material, shielding them from impact and keeping your heels stable.
The "state-of-the-art" part is inside. A special, internal comfort system features an ingenious material called PORON XRD. This special type of plastic stays soft to keep your feet comfortable with each step. However, when you step on something hard or sharp, the material instantly turns itself into a hard shell, shielding your body from impact and discomfort. Inside these boots, PORON SRD pads shield your heels and the balls of your feet. The Comfort Arch Polyurethane footbed contains the pads, so they won't shift.
