Well known as one of the most durable arctic work coats in the world, the C26 DKB Dark Brown, Quilt Lined Carhartt Arctic Sandstone Coat has just about every feature you could ever want in a Carhartt work coat.
This Carhartt Sandstone Winter Coat is made from 12-ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck with plied yarns. The sandstone duck material is made to take the punishment of extreme work conditions and is very durable. It resists snags and tears, and is micro-sanded and garment-washed for a soft finish that is both pliable and comfortable to wear. There's also a corduroy top collar with snaps underneath for the optional hood,which gives the option of adding extra protection against the elements (to maximize body heat retention).
Front closure is enhanced by a two-way brass zipper with an inside wind flap and hook and loop closures, so you won't have to worry about the wind getting through the jacket at your vulnerable midsection. This Carhartt Coat also has two extra-large front pockets and two chest pockets with flaps and hook and loop closures for keeping hands warm if necessary or carrying gear that needs to be close at hand.
Triple-stitched main seams for extreme durability, the Carhartt Sandstone Coat has great work fit cut for better range of motion and comfort, featuring a split back with bi-swing, pleated elbow, and, to keep the snow out, a rib-knit storm cuff in the sleeves. Inside, the lining is nylon that is quilted to arctic-weight polyester insulation. This insulation is great for keeping the heat in, but still breathes, so moisture caused by perspiration doesn't work against you while you are working.
Other great features within this Carhartt Coat includes an inside waist draw cord adjustment for a customizable fit. There are also two (2) inside breast pockets: one on the right with a zipper closure and on the left a hook and loop closure, which are great for keeping your valuables close.

Love these coats, they are the warmest, most comfortable coats I've worn. I don't think I need to try another brand.
It's a bit softer when you start wearing it but the C03 gets soft with wearing and washing too. It just looks less bulky in the beginning - therefore maybe a coat a woman would be intersted in too (woman medium fits great in mens small).
I had the C03 for many years and can recommend this coat for harsh and cold winter conditions (we live with -10° in average) and rough and dirty settings. Big pockets and a nearly unbreakable zipper. It will keep you warm and comfortable without restricting your movements while working in the cold.
