This Carhartt Arctic Coat is from the C26 MDT Midnight Blue, Quilt Lined Sandstone Arctic Coat series, and is made from a 12-ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck that includes a plied yarn fabric which is micro-sanded, then garment-washed for a soft finish.
Utilizing this well known Carhartt Arctic Coats design, this Carhartt Arctic Traditional Coat maximizes warmth for the body through the use of an arctic-weight, quilted-nylon lining which employs rib-knit storm cuffs. And to complete the enclosure of the body against the elements, rugged snaps are utilized under the contrasting corduroy top collar, so as to allow for an optional arctic hood attachment (highly recommended).
True to form, this Carhartt Arctic Winter Coat design also allows for a superior range of motion and comfort not found in competing coat lines, as well as other great features, such as a split back with bi-swing, pleated elbow, two-way brass zipper front and a wind flap with Velcro closure. And for extra rugged strength, the main seams are triple-stitched, while an inside waist drawcord is added for adjustments necessary to keep the lower body protected from drafts.
This Carhartt Sandstone Arctic coat also has two extra-large front pockets and two chest pockets with flaps and hook and loop closure; the inside has s a welt pocket with zipper closure (right side) for secure storage; and for added convenience, a patch pocket for with hook and loop closure on the left side.
