The duck hood is made of a 13-ounce fire-resistant fabric known as INDURA Ultra Soft duck, a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high tenacity nylon for superior abrasion-resistance and durability. The Moda-Quilt lining of the hood is a blend of flame-resistant modacrylic batting quilted to the INDURA Ultra Soft twill face cloth to provide warmth without the bulk.
The three-piece hood design provides a roomier fit and the arc-resistant snaps used for attachment to the flame-resistant outerwear provide extra safety.Even the hook and loop closure on the chin protector is flame-resistant . , Dupont's known as NOMEX technology is used in the draw cord because of its outstanding heat and flame-resistance textile properties.
