This lightweight, 12-ounce, firm-hand, 100% ring-spun cotton duck hood is of the highest quality and made with plied yarns for extra durability and less twisting. It is water repellant which is extra useful when climbing in snow or when the weather changes. After washing, you will need to re-treat for water repellence on future outings.
The nylon lining is quilted to arctic weight polyester insulation so extreme temperatures will not come between you and your head, ear, and neck warmth and comfort. The wide knit headband acts as a shield against rain, snow, sleet, or whatever you come up against. A hook and loop closure chinstrap will keep your neck sealed away from cold and precipitation. This hood also can be removed from one coat and transferred to another lined garment by merely unsnapping it. It will fit most lined garments, which is great for versatility and mobility.
