Made of 13-ounce flame-resistant INDURA Ultra Soft duck, which is a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high tenacity nylon (for superior abrasion-resistance and durability), this Carhartt Flame Resistant Jackets design is the right choice for industrial applications where the chance of flame ignition sources is high.
The lining in this Carhartt Flame Resistant Bomber Jacket is called Moda-Quilt, a blend of flame-resistant modacrylic batting quilted to the INDURA Ultra Soft twill face cloth which provides warmth without the bulk. This Carhartt FRC Jacket is also designed with two inside patch pockets with flame-resistant hook and loop closures for convenient storage, this bomber jacket also has outstanding heat and flame-resistance textile properties due to a technology from Dupont known as NOMEX: the rib-knit cuffs and waistband to seal out the cold air and the brass front zipper with NOMEX zipper tape that has an inside and outside protective flap and a hidden snap closure for electric arc protection.
