The mid-weight fabric is a comfortable 7 ounces of 100% cotton canvas. Canvas is the perfect material for a jacket, as it's warm, hard to tear and washes easily. This jacket's been garment washed at the factory. When you get it, it'll already be soft and broken in. There's no need to wash it over and over to try to break it in.
The soft outer shell of this fall-weight jacket is lined with 100% polyester mesh. That material is warm and quick-drying, and the mesh weave makes it quite breathable too. And when you pull this coat on, you'll slip right in since polyester is smooth and slippery.
LIke all Carhartt garments, this coat's made to last. The main seams are tripple stitched to give it long-lasting strength. The elbows are reinforced with patches to give them extra longevity.
For warmth, this jacket has a mock neck collar. Warm features also include hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and waistband. These allow you to snug up the fabric at the wrists or at your waist to help block the wind.
Even though this jacket doesn't have a lot of bling, it does give you a lot of bang for your buck. Knowing you're a hard-working man, Carhartt built this jacket with tons of pockets. There's an inside pocket that zips closed. Then on the outside, you'll find two lower-front pockets that close with snaps.
