A lot of work went into finding the perfect material for Carhartt A66 Men's Brown Cold Weather Boot Socks. Carhartt uses a blend of acrylic, wool, polyester, nylon and lycra-spandex to make these anti-odor socks. They’re engineered for warmth, durability and for retaining their shape. With the mid-calf design, the foot and lower leg are cushioned for extreme warmth and comfort.
The heels and toes are reinforced with nylon for durability. Carhartt even thought about ankle-bulk. That’s something not many people consider when designing a pair of socks. The vamp’s non-terry so the ankle-bulk is reduced. It’s easier to move when you don’t feel like your ankles are suffocating. Carhartt A66 Men's Brown Cold Weather Boot Socks are thick where they need to be and less bulky around your ankles.

A Step Ahead...
I have a slight case of Plantar Fasciitis and the cushion these Carhartt A66 wool blend bootsocks provide have proved to be most valuable, but I must caution you if it’s not cold enough these may cause sweating and that can be just as bad if not worse. They’re a good fit and resist snagging. Smooth toe seam does wonders for the toes. I like the fact that they don’t get the pilling thing like department store brands do. I recommend these as hunting and outdoor use, not limited to hiking. Witch I refrain from doing. Should be sold in multipacks. But a step ahead of the rest.

Really nice socks!...
A few years ago I decided to upgrade my sock wardrobe and I sampled several affronts from Carhartt and Wigwam. I had no experience with either brand's socks so this was my test phase. Although I only wear these socks when the temperature dips below 40°f. They keep my feet reasonably warm and have held up very well. They are considerably thicker than a regular work sock, so you might want to consider a pair of winter boots a size larger than you'd normally wear to compensate for the extra thickness. That is what I do. I have a pair of Hi-Tech waterproof Wellington boots that I only wear with these socks when the weather gets cold and wet. My feet are always comfy and dry at the end of the day. Sometimes I even wear them in the house to keep my feet warm while watching tv.
