This 8.5-ounce FR canvas jacket is NFPA 70E compliant, so you know it provides reliable protection. The 88% cotton and 12% high-tenacity nylon material gives you superior safety. A 6.75-ounce FR quilt lining carries it through to the inside of the jacket. There is even FR modacrylic batting that's been quilted to the twill face cloth, so you've got FR protection, through-and-through. The Carhartt FR label can be found on the front pocket, and the HRC 3 label is sewn on the lower portion of the zipper flap.
There are two lower-front pockets and two inside patch pockets that feature FR hook-and-loop closures to keep valuables locked up tight. The flame-retardant Nomex material on the rib-knit cuffs and waistband is used for suiting up military pilots and race car drivers, so you know it's good stuff. The brass front zipper on this FR jacket has Nomex tape, plus inside and outside protective flaps for added safety. The hook-and-loop closure on the zipper also gives electric-arc protection.
