Carhartt Boots: Men's Brown CMR1899 Steel Toe Insulated Slip Resistant Wellington Boots
You're going to notice the distinct, two-tone look of these Carhartt CMR1899 Brown Electrical Hazard Waterproof Insulated Steel Toe Puncture-Resistant Men's Wellington Boots. There are no laces to take away from the simple style of these beauties, but if all you needed was style at work then you would probably wear those Air Jordons you're still hanging on to. When you're at work, pure style won't even take you through the front door. But these Carhartt boots are capable of taking you all the way through any harsh day.
The two-tone design of these steel toe boots is made with brown shafts and black feet, but that design wasn't used for style's sake. Those black bottoms are high-abrasion, PU-coated leather. Sounds serious, right? That's because it is. The high-abrasion leather of these insulated boots is already flexible, wear-resistant, and ready for anything. The polyurethane coating? Well, that takes things to a whole new level. PU isn't just resistant to water and wear, it absorbs impact. It's also lightweight, so it won't weigh down the design (or your steps) when you wear these slip-resistant boots.
Brown, oil-tanned leather was used to craft the tall, laceless shafts of these waterproof boots. Leather is softly flexible around your feet, and made to move comfortably with you. But this leather is also oil-tanned. That makes it glossy, easy-to-clean and even more water-resistant. High-abrasion Cordura nylon was used in the black feet of these safety toe boots as well. Basically, you're ready to take on any sort of hard wear and tear.
But that's not the only trouble you might face. That's why these Carhartt boots are also made with waterproof membranes that block moisture and keep you dry, even in ugly weather conditions. Speaking of ugly weather, these brown boots have 400 gram weight LiteFire insulation. Like the name suggests, this material is lightweight. It holds in your natural heat to keep you warm even in cold, uncomfortable conditions.
That's right -- even weather can't defeat these waterproof boots. And when you wear them, your workday isn't going to defeat you. They pad your steps with contouring Ortholite insoles that bend and shift to give you constant cushioning. Lightweight EVA foam adds more softness in the midsole layer of these puncture-resistant boots. Softer steps makes for more comfortable steps, even during those long workdays.
There are all sorts of things that might make your workday uncomfortable. Rain? Cold? Hard floors? These Carhartt CMR1899 boots can already defeat all of that. How about dangers that could seriously affect your feet? You don't have to worry about that, either. These wellington boots are made with CSA-certified Swen Flex puncture-resistant plates. Hazards like nails, glass, and sharp rocks will be stopped before they can negatively affect your feet. That's the kind of safety you need when you work.
Goodyear welt stitching holds the rubber soles of these men's boots in place. Bouncy, shock-resistant rubber gives your feet the firm, supportive foundation they need. Because they're attached with repairable welt stitching, you can keep enjoying these wellington boots for a long time. The waxed thread used to make the stitches is resistant to chemicals and moisture. The entire sole is resistant to corrosive oils and chemicals, common around job sites. A slip-resistant tread keeps you steady and your footing firm, even on unsafe terrain.
Molded TPU heel guards and Achilles flex joint construction was integrated into the design of these safety boots. TPU, thermoplastic urethane, is a hard-wearing, but lightweight plastic that gives your feet even more support. Rated for EH protection, the soles absorb electrical hazards to keep you working more safely.
Steel toes, ASTMF 2413-05 rated for protective footwear standards, protect the most vulnerable areas of your feet when you wear these EH boots. The toe caps absorb impact and compression, and the tips of your feet won't.
The style of these Carhartt CMR1899 Brown Waterproof Insulated Steel Toe Puncture-Resistant EH Men's Wellington Boots is great, but that's really the least important feature they've got.

These boots are very comfortable and they keep my feet warm and dry...

So far these boots are holding up well in the mud and snow and the traction is very good on slippery surfaces. My feet have felt very comfortable and warm in the cold conditions. Would purchase these boots again.
