Carhartt Jackets: Men's Black J97 BLK Detroit Blanket Lined Sandstone Duck Work Jacket
When you're cold at home, you probably don't reach for your work clothing. It's most likely that you reach for your favorite soft blanket and wrap yourself up nice and snug inside. This Carhartt Men's Black J97 BLK Sandstone Detroit Blanket Lined Sandstone Duck Work Jacket combines the classic work jacket with your favorite soft blanket.
The black exterior of this Carhartt detroit jacket is made out of tough sandstone duck, one of Carhartt's favorite materials. You'll find lots of reasons to love the 100% cotton duck, too. Natural cotton feels soft and non-irritating to the touch, but in duck construction it becomes tough while still having all the wonderful features of plain cotton. Cotton duck is wind- and water-repelling. It is so good at resisting weather, it's used to make tents. That's some strong material used in this Carhartt.
The zip-up front goes all the way up to the brown collar of this black jacket. Inside, blanket lining will wrap your body in warmth. It's a lot more practical than wrapping up in a blanket, and it still keeps you insulated against the cold. Quilted nylon material was used to line the sleeves of this insulated jacket. Smooth, abrasion-resistant nylon is tough enough to take repeated friction that comes from sliding your arms in and out.
Adjust the fit in the waist and cuffs with snaps to get the perfect feeling while you wear this Carhartt jacket. The bi-swing back creates moving room, so you can twist and work easily. Triple-stitched main seams protect the design of this water-resistant jacket from too much movement. The triple stitching in this Carhartt blanket lined jacket adds triple the durability of garments made with single needle stitches.
You'll find plenty of places to store stuff in this blanket lined jacket. It's got an inside welt pocket, two lower front pockets, and a left chest pocket with a zipper closure.
When you're cold, reach for this Carhartt Men's Black J97 BLK Sandstone Detroit Blanket Lined Sandstoned Duck Work Jacket. It's got all the right stuff to become your favorite go-to garment.

This was my first Carhartt jacket that I'd ever bought. I'm a large person so I'm a bit limited as to which things I can wear. This is one reason I love Carhartt they offer a lot of options and Working Person carries most of them. I am a tad disappointed that this jacket isn't warmer than it is. I expected it to be a little warmer since it is blanket lined. I do love the classic lines and feel of this jacket though. It is as durable as any of my other Carhartt gear. I like it. Realize though if you plan on keeping super warm you are gonna need to layer underneath it.

My fav jacket...
Trim and medium weight. Good for cold winter mornings and easy to wear with a tool belt. Collar is too small to turn up, but I use a hood. Indestructible fabric with snaps instead of buttons. Highly Recommended

Love the Carhartt Detroit jacket...
I must admit, when I first put the jacket on, the shortness of the jacket felt a bit odd. All my other jackets are longer. I actually tugged on the bottom trying to pull it down to the length of where my other jackets are at. However after wearing it now as my primary jacket, I've both gotten accustomed to it and really love it. I no longer have to "hike up" my coat when putting my hands in the pockets of my pants -- it's great. The weight of the jacket is perfect for my needs when pairing it with a flannel and t-shirt. Very easy to move my arms around without any pulling or tightness. The bonus is it's Carhartt which means it's durable and will last. The only negative is due to the shortness of the jacket, the pockets are up higher than on other jackets. If you use the pockets on your jacket more than the pockets on your pants, it'll be a slight adjustment on your arms since they'll be up higher than with longer jackets. Overall, love the jacket and would definitely recommend it! Wanted a Carhartt jacket for casual wear during the fall to compliment my other Carhartt winter coats. Have the coldest seasons covered now. Buying the jacket through WPS was again a great experience. WPS is my go to store for work wear and now some casual wear!
