The soles of these work shoes are crafted in a two-layer design with blown rubber. Shock-resistant rubber creates a lightweight, dual-density design that absorbs harsh impact. The tread is made in a tough, high-abrasion design with a slip-resistant tread. The soles are also resistant to oils and chemicals, common corrosives you’ll find in many places of work. Goodyear welt stitching was used to attach the soles, creating a tough bond that’s resistant to time and wear, creates a stable base, and means replaceable soles for these Carhartt shoes.
They’ve been EH-rated for electrical hazard resistance. That means the soles absorb dangerous electrical shock, making it safer for you to work around open circuits. The steel toes are ASTM 2413-05 approved, and tough enough to absorb dangerous impact and compression from falling objects.
