The outer shell is made of 9 ounce, 100% cotton canvas. The material is so tough and water-repellent, cotton canvas is used in tents, boat sails and other outdoor items. Natural cotton is soft and breathable, and in canvas form its highly durable and easy to machine wash.
Inside, the 4 ounce, 100% cotton flannel lining creates a soft, warming interior. Flannel helps trap natural body heat, so you stay warm even without all the extra layers. The snaps, finished in antique brass, hold it all together.
