These Carolina 505 work boots protect your feet from all sides with 8 inch full grain leather uppers, leather-wrapped external metatarsal guards and steel toes tested to meet national industry standards. These work boots are also rated for Electrical Hazard which will protect the wearer from open circuits under dry conditions.
This briar oil tanned leather is known for its ability to be both easy to break in, yet able to withstand difficult conditions. The uppers and outsoles are stitched together with heat and abrasion resistant Kevlar thread. These met guard boots are built for the work you do.
Those of you who work around furnaces, welding, or other heat-producing sources will appreciate the fact that the soles on this met guard boots are made out of Nitrile rubber. This rubber compound can withstand temperatures of up to peaks of 120 degrees without melting, compared to natural rubber's high of 90 degrees.
