You don't have to be a logger (listen up, railroad guys!) to want surefootedness and protection on the job, especially outdoors. Carolina Boots 922 Logger Boots provide a heck of a lot of features to give you what you want.
We could start with the nine inches of full grain oiled leather (well, guess we did), the kind that includes the outside of the hide where it's toughest, covering your ankles to provide support and protection from sharp objects and the support your need without being too stiff. Superior Goodyear Welt construction connects the uppers to the Vibram sole. Already we're loading up with premium work boot benefits. The Goodyear welt construction means the sole is repairable (less shopping!) and more durable, while it adds improved lateral stability since the sole is wider than the boot to give you the best platform available. Meanwhile, the Vibram Logger outsoles use a rubber compound that provides maximum traction on both wet and dry surfaces (working after a rain, anyone?), with the lugs angled to provide maximum edging capabilities. A straight cut heel adds to the grippability you might need while a tough steel shank adds support on narrow surfaces like rungs or spikes.
We'll soldier on because you should know about the Cambrelle lining. Made of a mesh of bi-component fibers (we tried to get that into a conversation once-it was a short conversation), this fabric not only wicks sweat away from you skin, but reduces chafing by conforming to the constant motions of your foot inside these logger boots.
These Carolina Boots 922 Loggers let your feet rest on two layers of comfort. The removable footbed uses DRYZ foam to not only cushion your step, but helps keep your feet dry and cool by absorbing moisture away from your feet in a gel-like substance. It also kills odors and odor-causing bacteria. The second layer is a Poron Permafresh insole which offers excellent resistance to compression, outstanding shock absorption, and long-lasting lightweight cushioning. So your "walking on air" feeling won't wander away as you use these logger boots over time.
