Carolina Boots: Men's Brown Metguard 579 Kiln Hi EH Work Boots
OK, when you think "protection," maybe the thought of Carolina Men's Kiln Hi Style 579 Brown EH Boots didn't immediately spring to your mind. But when it comes to accidents waiting to happen at work, you can't do better than having these metatarsal guard boots on your feet.
Whether you're at a factory, an oil rig, or a construction site, you need Carolina boots you can depend on. The men's boots you're looking at feature heavy plastic-dense foam-lined external metatarsal guards, plus steel safety toe caps as part of a roomy toe boxes to give you confidence around potential hazards of rolling or falling objects.
These brown boots measure up to national safety standards. The toe caps are designed to resist compression of up to 2500 pounds and the impact of an object weighing 75 pounds dropped from a height of eighteen inches(Of course, if both of these occurrences happen to you on the same day, you might want to consider another occupation).
Inside, durable AG7 polyurethane cushioned footbeds are removable for cleaning, and a moisture-wicking taibrelle lining will help keep your feet dry and comfortable. This helps make these a good foundry EH boots or welding steel toe boots because those conditions can get very hot (Like we need to tell you that, right?).
Goodyear Welt construction means the outsole construction is one of the toughest made and is repairable, which is an added bonus for you. You're less likely to twist an ankle because the soles are wider than the brown boots, which can improve your lateral stability. The soles are really special because they contains Kevlar - which is five times stronger than steel for its weight. The Vibram heat-resistant outsoles of the Carolina footwear also resist chemicals and oil. These outsoles are both flame- and slip-resistant, too. Enjoy these tough soles for dangerous work near furnaces or high platforms. The steel shanks will give you good arch support, especially if you do some climbing, and help decrease foot fatigue.
The Carolina Men's Brown EH 579 Kiln Hi Metatarsal Guard Steel Toe Boots are a top pick due to the broad steel toes and high heat outsoles, among plenty of other features listed above!
When foot protection is Job #1, step into to Carolina 579s.

Super Boots -Especially for the price!!...
By: Sandi Ann Surace
At first these boots seemed a bit stiff but after only 2 days of working in them, they have started to "break in" and flex a bit more and are getting more comfortable by the day.
My feet seem to not sweat as much as they did in my last pair of boots.
The metatarsal guard is SWEET -wish I had these a month ago when I dropped a 2" thick 50 pound piece of Hardox steel on the top of my foot -(on edge) -man did that hurt! THESE BOOTS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THAT PAIN -I GUARANTEE IT!
The flat slip resistant soles are TERRIFIC for welding in a greasy shop -no slip and no welding stubs, grease, mud, etc... clumping up in the soles like I used to deal with in my last pair of boots.
The ONLY downfall -and it's not really a downfall, just some information that "working persons" store should add to the boot description(s) is the HEIGHT of the boot. I expected them to be a couple inches higher and they're not.
I measured them from the ground and they stand not quite 8" high. The pictures make them look a lot taller -I expected maybe 10" high boots -and I really wanted higher boots. The only bad thing about this other than not having that information before I made my purchase; is that when you squat down, the top of the boot comes across my leg at an uncomfortable spot -however; I am only 5'-3" tall and maybe on a man they wouldn't do this (?)
STILL, I LOVE THESE BOOTS AND HOPE TO GET AT LEAST A YEAR OR MORE OUT OF THEM! I have already recommended them to my co-workers as we work at a scrap yard and all the "torchers" could really use a pair of boots like these that they can actually afford. THESE BOOTS ARE THE BEST YOU WILL FIND -ESPECIALLY FOR THE MONEY -$135 A PAIR That's what I call a real bargain!
