It's easy to become obsessed with the dark, reddish-brown uppers of these Carolina boots. Visible stitching adds detail to the soft leather. Made in briar pitstop brown, the leather is malleable and soft. Leather is used in belts - that's how flexible it is. But leather is also used in wallets because that's how strong it is. You'll appreciate it most when it's on your feet, like it is in these waterproof boots, providing comfortable durability all day long.
Especially when it's got a waterproof liner on the inside. These American-made boots are built with Carolina's SCUBALINER membranes to keep you dry even in ugly, wet weather conditions. Mesh lining adds the softness of lightweight fabric to these composite toe boots. The lining adds comfort, but not heat. Mesh material is made to breathe, naturally releasing heat instead of holding it in when you wear these men's boots.
AG7 polyurethane footbeds soften your stride in these brown boots. Polyurethane is lightweight, even lighter than rubber in fact. It absorbs even more force than rubber to take more sting out of your step, adding softness to your stride when you wear these safety toe boots. The removable design makes the footbeds easy to clean. The shanks are non-metallic to add lightweight support. They're built to match the bend in your foot, keeping the muscles in a comfortable position all day long while you work in these USA-made boots.
Leather Welt construction keeps the polyurethane outsoles in place. Welt stitching creates a flexible bond all the way around the base of each boot. Two layers of polyurethane soften foot shock, thanks to the dual-density sole construction of these 8-inch leather boots. The tread is made for slip-resistance, designed to give you a good grip in a variety of unsafe conditions.
The soles of are also rated for electrical hazards. These EH boots have been independently tested for electrical hazard resistant up to 14,000 volts for one minute. That gives you enough time to get yourself to safety when you wear these slip-resistant boots. The composite safety toe caps of the composite toe boots are in place for those moments when you don't have any time to get out of the way. They absorb shock and prevent compression from dangerous falling objects. Composite is lighter in weight than steel, but since it's non-metallic it won't conduct electricity. It's tested to meet ASTM I-75/C-75 safety standards.
Carolina Men's Brown CA1816 Waterproof 8 Inch Composite Toe USA-Made Boots were made in the United States in an American factory. Use them to support your steps, and start a new trend of feeling less foot pain.

Boots are great and no cold toe in 0 degree weather...
These boots are composite toe. When worn in 0 degree weather they keep your feet warm and dry. Great pair of American made boots. Highly recommend them for anyone who has to be out in cold all day. Steel toe gets cold and retains that cold all day. These boots wont cause your toes to be cold. They keep your feet dry also and wear very well. Once broken in they are super comfortable.

Hard to find size makes boot a top choice...
I have a "B" width foot and find it hard to find boots that fit. Working persons would do me a great favor by allowing me to search for foot wear by size so that I wouldn't waste my time looking at boots that are not going to fit. The "B" width shoes tend to be made in America which I prefer. Carolina and Redwing boots are my preferred brands. I find Carolina boots to be an acceptable replacement for Redwing. I like the convenience of returning my redwing boots to the local outlet for resoling by redwing. The cost of the carolina boot allows me to be wilIing to discard them after use. They are a comfortable boot. I should not have any problem getting a year and a half (every other day) of wear from these boots. The leather and soles are holding up well especially considering that I do not take proper care of the uppers. I will probably by this same pair as a replacement.
