Caterpillar Boots: Men's Insulated 73687 Waterproof Slip-Resistant Work Boots
First, frostbite turns toes white...then black as they become ill with gangrene. For anyone who works on their feet, that's a horrifying thought. Tuck your toes into the warmth of Caterpillar Men's 73687 Diagnostic HI Insulated Waterproof Boots to keep harm away from your hard-working feet.
Two shades of brown create this attractive pair of Caterpillar boots, as they're made with tough waterproof leather. Part of Caterpillar's Ergo collection, they're made for flexibility, comfort, and stability - no matter how you move your feet.
Within the men's boots there's nylon mesh lining, a stretchy and abrasion-resisting material that helps natural air flow keep your feet cool and dry. Perforated EVA foam with gel technology inserts create soft cushioning for each of your feet. These removable inserts can be cleaned at any time, so you can keep these slip-resistant boots nice and fresh.
Insulated with thermal technology (200 gram weight fabric), your feet will stay warm and snug inside these insulated boots. The high-performance rubber outsoles are shock-absorbent and made for gripping strength. Designed for extreme slip resistance (Caterpillar SRX technology), the rugged soles are made to keep your steps steady - no matter what the floors you walk on are like.
Avoiding frostbite isn't the only reason you'll want to wear these Caterpillar Men's 73687 Diagnostic HI Insulated Waterproof Brown Boots...but it certainly can't hurt, right?

Built to last...
This is a great boot, and one of the most comfortable I've ever used.
I've worn these every day for some time now and they're still in great condition. Since the leather is a little softer than some other boots they get the initial scuffs and peel on the top layer a little quicker than others, but it also makes them more flexible/comfortable, and after the initial scratching they are just as tough. I think back to the first agonizing month of breaking in any other pair of leather boots where my feet ended up covered with blisters and can deal with a scuff or two, and since then they're still fully functional and tough as ever. Even the soles are still in excellent condition, and I drag my feet.
I work in file storage having to constantly move flatbeds, hand trucks and pallets loaded with upwards of 30 10-25lb boxes at a time, and I wont trust a loaded pallet to land on my foot in any other boot. I'm buying a second pair today because even though the pair I have will probably last another couple of years, the last good boot I found was discontinued and I don't want to run the risk of losing these too.
As for comfort, I have ankles with "bad structure," a coalition in both (pice of bone joining ankle bones instead of cartilage), plantar fasciitis, and just have all around bad feet (if I listed everything it would sound like I was making stuff up), and putting these on for the first time felt like walking on clouds. Only thing comparable is a pair of well broken in Doc Martens.
- good waterproofing
- steel toes are bad for snow, but with extra toe room these aren't too bad (no contact with the steel, and extra room for second/thicker socks)
- hooks let me leave them tied
- excellent slip resistance
- comfortable ankle support
Only Con is that they're heavy, but so is every other steel toe leather boot.

I owned this boot for 2 years, and they were great. I bought them more for winter time in connecticut. good price , comfortable. I used to work in a car wash and, they protect me really good with the water and cold ( snow). also they have a good grip and very looking boots. Hope this help for people like me.
