Caterpillar 89983 Generator Hi Flexion Dark Brown Steel Toe Work BootsThe 6-inch uppers are crafted with dark brown, full-grain leather. The supple leather is naturally breathable and flexible in its own right, but hard-wearing for long-lasting use. Ventilating nylon mesh lining promotes air flow around feet, keeping skin cool and comfortable.
EVA foam was used to create the removable sockliners, which soften steps from toe to heel. The soft sockliners may be taken out and cleaned easily to prevent odor. Lightweight, impact-absorbing polyurethane in the midsole layer cushions, while strong steel supports feet. The steel shanks lift arches, preventing muscle strain and fatigue.
The rubber outsoles are attached with Caterpillar Flexion construction, which uses cement construction as well as flexible stitching to secure the soles to the leather. The contoured last and heel impact zone support and cradle the foot, lessening the impact of foot strike. Flexion construction also ensures extreme slip-resistance with a gripping S-curve shape and flex grooves in the soles. The design improves traction, giving you a firm tread even on wet flooring.
Caterpillar 89983 Generator Hi Flexion Dark Brown Steel Toe Work Boots are certified for electrical hazard resistance, soaking up as much as 600 volts of dangerous electricity. To further safety, the steel toes (ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 approved) protect feet with impact- and compression-resistance.
