Boots to replace Doc Martens...
I have always worn Doc Martens British-made work boots because they are very comfortable and well-constructed, and have never required a break-in time. The last time I needed new boots, I could not find the British-made boots in the style I like, so I got the Chinese-made Docs. They did not fit quite right after a few times out, and came apart after stomping through a few mud puddles. Thinking that I had just gotten a bad pair of boots, I replaced them with another Chinese-made Doc Martens boot. These hurt my feet so bad after a few times of wearing them for a couple of hours, I decided I will never again buy the Chinese-made Doc Martens. It was just a waste of money, and very painful for my feet.
My husband and I looked for replacement boots for several weeks and decided to try the Caterpillar boots. They were a good price, and appear to be very well-made. I have worn them every day for a week, and so far, they have not hurt my feet. I have not yet stomped through any mud puddles, but, I am sure they will stand up to the test.
