Vibram Multi-Sport Yellow Plug technology takes the weight out of durability with a lightweight outsole that will keep you from slipping on rocky crags and slick earth. And, while the Vibram outsole with cemented construction helps give your feet traction[EAF2], the shoe's interior features will keep your toes dry and cozy.
Chippewa's Chip-A-Tex waterproof technology provides a fierce water barrier while 400 Gram Thinsulate Insulation, designed especially for cold conditions, keeps your feet warm without the bulk of heavy insulators. Thinsulate insulation won't wear out, even after tromping over miles and miles of rough terrain. Unlike other insulators, Thinsulate won't get packed down while you're packing over a rough trail, so the tiny air pockets remain intact even after the heaviest of tromping. I immediately emailed customer service and changed my online account to reflect the proper zip code. Unfortunately, customer service informed me (by email) that the order had already shipped prior to receiving the email.
