Chippewa Boots: Men's 8 Inch Logger Work Boots 73026
Giant trees come toppling toward workers. Heavy lumber and machinery offer break-making employment conditions. Even in the face of terrible weather and personal danger, the work has to be done. Logging is one of the toughest jobs around, and that's why boots for loggers have to be the best in safety, support and soft comfort. Chippewa 73026 Men's 8 Inch Redwood Logger Work Boots protect your feet, and by extension the rest of you, too.
Find out how eight inches of dark, rich redwood leather feels when you're on the job. Supple and strong, the leather has been oiled for a handsome sheen and better weather-resistance. Moisture-wicking lining, brushed ruby Nylex, adds breathable comfort from within to keep you cool and dry.
Steel shanks support every step, taking the brunt of some of your muscle strain so feet don't have to do it all alone. Durable, flexible Texon insoles keep feet moving freely, while orthotic cushioning cradles your stride. These orthotic insoles are removable for easy cleaning. Shock-absorbing 4 iron rubber midsoles put a little bounce right where you need it most - between your feet and the ground.
Goodyear leather welt construction joins the one-piece outsoles to the tough leather, repairable stitching that comes to life in a strong, secure bond for durable footwear. The Vibram outsoles are oil- and slip-resistant, because you can't let anything break your stride.
Chippewa 73026 Men's 8 Inch Redwood Logger Work Boots stand alone when it comes to quality, but not options. Get the steel toe Chippewa 73031 version, or stay warm with the insulated 73025 pair. Take advantage of both insulation and steel toes with the Chippewa 73030. Even Working Women aren't excluded, as Chippewa offers an unlined woman's variety, product number L73026.

Type of boot that looks better with age...
By: Joel Henderson
This boot is meant to show all of the dings and scuffs that accumulate after many days of hard work. The dark leather perfectly showcases each and every mark and in my opinion creates an awesome character that tells its own story. The leather is nice and thick so I have no fear of it ever ripping or tearing. With a quick coating of sno seal these Chippewa boots become completely weatherproof. This is a working mans boot and will stand up to any and every challenge you put it through. Overall I am very satisfied with this boot.
Why Choose Working Person? Let Our Customers Explain!
I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company.
I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning.
This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North.
Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped.
Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.
