These Chippewa Men's 20070 Chocolate Apache Lacer 8-Inch Work Boots are perfect for the man who hates breaking in new boots. The uppers are made from Chocolate Apache Leather. A high level of wax and oils were applied during the tanning process to make these boots soft, comfortable, and give them that worn-in look right from the box. The Flexwell insoles provide support and cushioning to every step from the first moment you lace up these boots. You won’t get that uncomfortable “new boot” feel.
The vamps on these chocolate-colored boots are lined with drill fabric. This cotton-like material is breathable, to help keep your feet cool. The brown, 1752 Stockbridge Vibram outsoles have lugs in the center of the forefoot and heel for traction and stability. These Vibram outsoles are made from a slip-resistant synthetic compound that keeps its physical properties in cold weather. These Chippewa 8" boots fit JUST like my 6" of the same model, wiith the exception of their height. The upper leather and leather tongue is very soft. It feels like it's already been broken in, so there is never an uncomfortable period while wearing them.
I did return them for the 6" pair, but only because I didn't need taller boots. Still would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a pair of 8" boots.
