For instance, the ASTM-approved Composite Toes give your feet protection from impact and compression, yet is 100% non-metallic. The soles are electrical hazard rated which means they're designed to reduce the hazards due to contact with electrically energized parts because they are non-conductive electric shock-resistant.
The soles feature a strobel construction, where the upper is stitched at the border to a flexible woven material rather than glued to fiberboard. This results in this shoe feeling as comfortable as an athletic shoe, but not as flimsy. The rubber lug outsole provides extra traction, and is oil-and slip-resistant. The sponge rubber heel wedge is designed to minimize your chances of tripping.
The EVA cushion insert is soft and flexible to pamper your feet, and is totally removable. The Converse C1945 Men's Black Composite Toe Athletic Oxford has a moisture-wicking, nylon-mesh lining to keep your feet dry and warm. The black, waxy Nubuck leather uppers are water-resistant and resistant to abrasions.
