Corcoran Boots: Men's 1949 Waterproof Lightly Insulated 10 Inch Field Boots
Mud. Rain. Ice. Snow. It's an ugly world out there. Corcoran 1949 Black 10-Inch Waterproof Insulated Men's Field Boots will protect you from it. (Well, your feet anyway. You might need a hat.) Really, that's all we have to say about these men's boots to let you know how great they are. But we'll tell you even more.
The 10-inch, lace-up design of these Corcoran boots is built with water-resistant leather. The black leather is easy to clean and naturally resistant to wind and wear. It stands up to the rigors of nature and even to the tough environments imposed by your job. Full-grain resists tearing, shines up nicely, and the customizable lacing system gives you a comfortable fit every time. The leather is water-resistant, but it's also breathable. That means it won't trap hot air. It promotes air circulation that keeps you cooler.
Gore-Tex booties surround your steps completely when you wear these insulated boots. The waterproof Gore-Tex is also breathable. It won't block cooling air flow, but it will block water. The Gore-Tex in these waterproof boots may be a thin membrane, but it is powerful wetness protection. Moisture-wicking inner lining was added to the design to prevent sweat. The lining draws moisture away from your skin to keep you feeling dryer and more comfortable.
Thinsulate insulation will protect you from the cold when you wear these moisture-wicking boots. The Thinsulate material is thin and non-bulky, but it delivers very big performance. At 200 gram weight the material will keep you feeling warm in freezing conditions, as long as you're moving and working. Thinsulate absorbs your own natural heat and feeds it back to you to keep you feeling warmer.
Impact-absorbing polyurethane inserts cushion and soften your steps when you wear these Corcoran boots. The polyurethane absorbs shock to take the pain out of every stride. DRYZ technology keeps the material moisture-wicking, and that keeps you dryer. Remove the inserts any time for quick cleaning and odor control. More polyurethane was used in the midsole layer of these odor-resistant boots to create a shock-resistant core right at the heart of the design. Non-metallic shanks lift and support your feet to prevent muscle strain.
Vibram Sierra outsoles support the entire design of these black boots. The Fire & Ice outsoles are slip-resistant to keep your tread steady. The soles are named for their strength. They stand up to wear and tear and tough environments. Goodyear patented flex-welt construction was used to attach the soles to the uppers of these slip-resistant boots. Through Goodyear welt construction, waxed thread is used to stitch the soles in place. Because it’s waxed, the thread is resistant to moisture. Because it’s stitched, it’s also repairable. Flex-welt construction keeps the design flexible for comfortable steps.

This is an excellent pair of boots. I had avoided 10 inch tall boots for over a decade because I didn't think I could find any to fit my 20 inch calves. This pair fits me perfectly. If you're on the fence, buy a pair. You won't regret it. I do recommend getting a pair 1/2 a size down from your usual shoe size, though. They tend to run a little big.
