Brambles and rocks don't have a chance against your 8 1/2 inches of leather protection that's specially treated to resist moisture from rain or mud, yet allow your feet to ventilate. Hey, when we're talking skin and hot, we're talking sweat. Corcoran has built these boots with dual side vents made of breathable Cordura, which, while ten times more durable than cotton duck, shaves weight off the boot and dries much faster than leather. Further protection from that clammy irritation you can get from sweaty feet (there, we said it!) is provided by a Drilex lining. The Starlight type used is the most abrasion-resistant, and is a multi-layer wicking system so the boot fabric closest to your foot is always cool, dry and comfortable. While we're on the subject, the shock-absorbing removable footbed uses Dryz technology. Basically, the fabric liner wicks away perspiration from the body and transports it to a layer of copolymer foam. The liner's "Smart Foam" absorbs and stores moisture away from the skin in a gel-like substance. The gelled moisture dissipates continuously throughout the day and completely when the product is removed. Not bad, guys.
Underneath the shock-absorbing polyurethane midsole is a stainless steel bottom plate. Meeting national standards, this will protect you from sharp objects and up to 270 pounds of force! When your feet meet the ground, they'll be saluting with a Vibram Sierra sole. Multi-directional lugs give you substantial edging capabilities for braking, push off, and stability.
