Dickies Jacket: Men's Brown TJ718 BD Cotton Duck Hooded Jacket
Our Dickies TJ718 BD Men’s Brown Rigid Duck Hooded Jacket is made from rigid duck fabric. You’ve probably been wondering what rigid fabric means. It doesn’t mean the fabric’s like wearing a cardboard box. It simply means that the fabric doesn’t stretch. Fabrics, like duck, aren’t made with a stretchy blend, like spandex. So they’re called rigid. This Dickies jacket is made with 100% 10 ounce cotton duck – extra tough.
The nylon lining of this brown jacket is quilted 6-ounce polyfil for warmth. Dickies added a water-repellent treatment because nobody likes to be damp or wet when it’s cold outside. The rib knit cuffs and waist are great for blocking cold air. They’re like wearing a “Stay Out Wind” sign on your men's jacket. The hand warmer pockets are handy for getting the chill out of your hands so you can move them again when they’re cold.
The Dickies TJ718 BD Men’s Brown Rigid Duck Hooded Jacket is a serious working man’s coat. It can take lots of punishment and still keep you warm.

Will take a beating....
I bought this Dickies TJ718 BD cotton duck hooded jacket before I moved out to Boston. Having lived in California most of my life, I didn't have a jacket that had the weight and durability of a Dickie's work jacket like this one. First off, the jacket runs a little big. I ordered the smallest size available, which is a "medium," but when I tried it on I realized it's easily a "Large" in other brands. Maybe even "Xtra Large". Which worked out fine for me because I bought it as a winter jacket that I could layer, i.e. wear thermos, sweatshirts, and sweaters underneath. After 3 years of brutal winter conditions, reckless laundering and last minute packing, the jacket is faded, the metal zipper tab had broken off, but the jacket's pretty much held its own.
