The thermal lining runs from the body into the hood, therefore you will be able to pull your hood up and keep your head and neck warm as well. Plus, there is a drawstring in the hood, so tightening it around your head to limit the amount of airflow into the sweatshirt and down your back is easy to do with one pull of the strings.
