These tall boots are made with a tough casing of full-grain cowhide leather (the best Mother Nature has to offer). Durable, flexible and naturally water-repellent, the leather moves well and fits comfortably against feet. Inside, leather lining adds more luxury and strength to the construction. Even the tongue is leather, to provide softness. Tin cloth gussets have been added to the tongue to seal out water and keep feet dry. The entire leather upper has been oil-tanned for better resiliency and water-repellency.
Soft, Mackinaw wool insulation provides cushioning warmth. The 24 ounce, 100% virgin wool material helps hold in the heat, keeping your entire foot warmer. Rubber and leather were used to create the cushioning midsole layer, a shock-resistant core of support. Lightweight cork and EVA foam insoles, completely removable for easy cleaning, give feet comfortable cushioning. Lightweight and non-metallic, the fiberglass shanks lift and support arches to reduce muscle pain. Use the pull strap to get your feet easily in and out of the boots any time.
Welt construction was used to bring the Vibram Olympia rubber outsoles and tough full-grain leather together. Welt construction uses flexible stitching all around the base of the boots to provide superior flexibility and walking ease. Heel counters with reinforced backstays add even more durability.
