Filson Pants: Men's Tan USA-Made Water-Resistant 14005 DT Single Tin Cloth Pants
You buy jeans because you want a pair of durable, reliable work pants. Here's the problem with that: jeans soak up moisture and grow thin with machine washings. Want tough? Want comfortable? Want work pants that really are made for work? You want Filson Men's Tan 14005 DT Single Tin Cloth USA-Made Pants.
These tan pants are manufactured with 12.5 ounces of 100% cotton duck. This fabric is exceptionally strong and soft, made more so by Filson's oil finish tin cloth design. Tin cloth is highly waterproof and durable, resisting moisture as easily as it does wear and tear. The durable comes from the double-sewn construction with bar tacking.
The tapered leg design makes it easy to wear these water-resistant pants with work boots. Suspender buttons and belt loops let you add accessories to help you keep your Filson pants in place. The brass zipper fly is made to last. You'll find two front slash pockets and two back pockets (with closeable flaps) to help you keep tools handy. These comfortable, hard-working tin pants were American-made by hard working people.

durable and comfortable...
Compared to the Filson double tin cloth pants, these are less durable but also less stiff. But both of those characterizations are pretty relative. These pants are still pretty stiff, especially at first, and they're still really durable. They break in with wear, but these are still very heavy duty. I prefer these because the double just seemed like overkill. The single tin cloth pants seem like they'll last practically forever. And Filson has a really great guarantee on all of their products. If they can't fix it, they replace it. So I've put these pants through a lot, and they have withstood it all. The look and fit is terrific and only improves with time. My Filson pants are also quite waterproof. They're a bit pricey, but I think it's a good investment if you're rough on your clothes.
