Stretch pants are great for keeping your legs warm, but as far as fashion trends go they were pretty awful. Today's wide-legged styles leave a lot of room for chilling winds to find your skin. That's where these Filson 64007 Heavyweight Grey Merino Wool OTC Socks come in.
These grey heavyweight socks are made to fit over the calf (OTC), keeping you warm up to the knee. The fabric is made from a combination of insulating Merino wool (73%), abrasion-resistant nylon (15%), recycled polyester (11%) and stretchy spandex (2%). You'll get warmth, softness, strength and stretchy comfort -- all in one pair of machine-washable socks.
They're crafted with dimensional knitting technology that adds spandex to each and every stitch. No matter how you move, bend or stretch, these socks will move to match you with stretchy flexibility. Mesh material in the instep provides breathability, adding cooling air flow to reduce sweat.
The beefy, cushioned sole gives feet shock absorption to soften every step. The extra padding also provides insulation, keeping you warm in cool temperatures. These socks are made with double-reinforced heel and toe construction for added durability. The toe seams are made to be flat and smooth, so they fit comfortably against your toes.
Filson 64007 Heavyweight Grey Merino Wool OTC Socks were made in the USA, where you can follow any fashion trend you like. Just make sure you do it with the right leg protection in cold weather.

Very, very warm socks...
I wouldn't recommend these for everyday use, but it's great to have a pair of these for those extra cold days. They're thicker and go up higher than any of my other mid-weight merino socks. I choose to wear these one the days where I would normally consider doubling up my socks.
