The tall, dark brown leather used to make these Filson boots is full-grain. It's a top-quality, non-processed leather that's lost none of the material's natural strength and flexibility. It bends, it moves...it resists the elements. The heavyweight, oil-tanned leather is water-repellent, so moisture just glides right off. The outsoles of the Filson Uplander boots is made from extremely tough and durable Vibram rubber. Vibram rubber not only wears well, but it give you the much needed support and stability for underneath your feet.
And inside these Uplander boots? That's right -- it's another layer of water-repellent leather. The soft inner leather feels luxurious around your feet, and it's actually performing a function by keeping you dry. Leather is easier to clean than most fabrics. When it gets dirty, and it will, just wipe away the grime with a damp cloth or use a brush to knock it off. Perfect for an outdoorsy person with a pair of hunting boots.
