It's impossible not to notice the classic, two-tone style. The athletic, low-cut design is dark brown, with lighter tan accents that set off the star and the stripe, traditional Converse details. Made with waxy Nicebuc leather, the uppers are water-repellent. Nicebuc leather has a brushed synthetic coating that produces a uniform look and hand to the leather upper.
But rain and puddles aren't the only problems you're going to face. Each shoe is protected with moisture-wicking nylon. The material pulls sweat away from skin to keep you dryer, because why be wet?
Two layers of EVA foam cushioning protect feet from impact. The removable (and cleanable) insoles and soft midsoles create airy layers of shock-absorbance. Sponge rubber heel wedges add bounce and spring right at the heels, to help you rebound from every step.
The rubber outsoles are attached to the leather through Strobel construction. Rather than gluing the leather to a fiberboad, the soles are stitched to a flexible, woven material that makes these shoes maneuverable and comfortable. Slip-resistance keeps the tread tough, whether you're walking on wet or dry floors. The soles are also static dissipative, so they won't collect a lot of static electricity (which may harm electronic equipment).
