Bates Orange like Dress work shoes are amazing...
As a former Reservist, these shoes double great for a day at the office. You will be the envy of every male co-worker when you wear these orange colored uppered uniform shoes. The orange like color along with the spong like rubber sole, make for the perfect chemisty. A damp cloth is all that it takes to clean this footwear to a semi gloss shine that some of my co-workers have even commented as almost unreal. Perfect with a pair of khaki pants or a suit, put your best foot forward and add that extra bit of professionalism to your wardrobe. Thanks for your stellar version of a classic and masterpiece!

My husband likes the shoes to wear to church or anywhere else he has to go & dress up. They really look for dressing up.

Bates Lites soles don't last!...
By: Bates are terrible
I have had several pairs of Bates Lites brown and white. The soles are a disgrace to shoes in general. For some reason between 5-10 years the soles will start to disintegrate. They will crack and the entire heal will crumble away in a trail behind you as you walk.
This problem is so prevalent that they warn you about it at the Navy's Department Head Leadership Course, where most of the students have between 9-11 years of service and show up with Bates shoes that are usually near the breaking point. Out of 16 officers in a recent class, 7 of them had to buy new shoes after the first day. I have also seen many other "blowouts" at formal events and ceremonies.
I only purchased another pair of Bates Lites shoes because I needed shoes the next day, but I will never again purchase another Bates product. It is criminal that the Navy exchange does not stock anything but Bates. Any shoe company that has to actually compete for business would not offer such poor quality for such high prices and expect to keep customers. Bates does not care about producing junk because they know US military members don't have many options and have to buy Bates.
The shoes are also not very comfortable. I almost forgot to mention that with how angry I am about being forced in to buying another pair of these terrible shoes. I would give these shoes negative stars if it was possible.
