Thorogood 804-4200 Men's Brown American Heritage 6 Inch Moc Safety Toe Work Boots are made with manly materials, like tobacco leather and storm welt stitching. They've got to have tough-sounding features, because they're marshmallowy soft on the inside.
The logger-style uppers are made with tobacco brown leather. The natural leather is exactly like your skin, because that's what it is: animal skin. Like skin, it's incredibly flexible and soft, made for bending and stretching, but tough against wind and water. The oil-tanning makes the leather even stronger against moisture and bad weather.
Cotton drill vamp lining surrounds skin with soft, breathable comfort every time you wear these boots. Natural cotton keeps feet ventilated for cooling comfort. The Poron 4000 comfort cushion footbeds are made with two-layer, dual-density construction. The Ultimate Shock Absorption footbeds conform to feet, keeping every curve and bend well-cushioned. Because they're removable, the footbeds may be pulled right out and cleaned easily.
A layer of shock-resistant rubber in the midsoles adds impact-absorbance. Beneath this, engineered composite shanks support your weight. Composite won't conduct heat and electricity, but it will support your arches to prevent muscle strain.
Goodyear storm welt construction attaches the Vibram outsoles to the flexible leather uppers. The blown rubber outsoles absorb the force of your footsteps, so your feet enjoy nothing but softness. Slip-resistant, the tread has a gripping design to give every step strong traction.
The soles are also rated for electrical hazard resistance. They'll absorb up to 600 volts of dangerous electricity, keeping you safer around open circuits. But the soles are also ESR-rated, so they won't collect electric shock either.
