These 6-inch Wolverine boots are built around an athletic shoe inspired design. That's because you have to be a bit of an athlete on the job, always ready to react. You won't be reacting to bad weather, that's for sure. The Americana leather uppers are fully waterproof to block moisture. Leather's natural toughness and flexibility keep your feet protected, maneuverable and totally ready to work.
More waterproof protection was put on the inside of these composite toe boots, because rain is tricky. Waterproof membranes block moisture. Moisture-wicking wave mesh lining covers the membranes to manage sweat that builds up inside your waterproof boots.
Speaking of sweat, even the cushioning footbeds are covered with mesh sock liners to promote cooling comfort. The anti-microbial footbed covers prevent odor-causing bacteria. The removable, cleanable insoles in these work boots are made with open-cell polyurethane to encourage more air flow. Shock-resistant polyurethane absorbs more force than rubber, yet weighs much less, making these Peak Comfort boots a top choice for your long work days.
EVA foam was compression-molded into the midsole layer. This creates a lightweight, softening inner layer that stops impact before it hits your feet. Cement construction was used on these safety toe boots to firmly glue the rubber outsoles to the design. Rubber overlays extending up to the uppers create a firm, waterproofing seal around the soles.
The soles of these Wolverine safety toe boots are rated for electrical hazard resistance, to soak up electricity that your body can’t handle. The composite toes are made with material that won’t conduct electricity and temperature, like steel will. But they’re just as strong, and tested to meet ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 standards.
