In this century or even in the future, the Blundstone 871 Welding Boots are an excellent choice. These boots feature a black flame-retardant leather smelter boot with a non-intrusive metatarsal protection guard and white accent stitching. The seams are stitched with Kevlar thread while the Velcro secured flaps allow you to customize the fit to your foot.
These boots have been dip tested to 1760 degrees Fahrenheit in molted aluminum and 2768 degrees Fahrenheit in molted steel and the sole is heat-resistant to 572 degrees Fahrenheit. There is also a flame-resistant Pro-Tek scratchguard to protect the toe leather.
Inside you will find the removable Xtreme Comfort footbed with Poron heel and pad inserts. You will also find the SPS Shock Protection System for heel comfort in the strike zone. The ergonomically engineered toe spring will help reduce fatigue even after a full shift plus overtime. The steel shank ensures you will have the correct step flex point and assists with torsional stability. The full heel breast with arch support helps you safely climb ladders.
The broad-fitting steel toe cap meets the AS/NZS 2210.3:2000 Classification 1 and the Electrical Hazard Protection of the 871 Welding Boots meets the ANSI Z41:1999 Section 4 standards. The lightweight, shock-absorbing Soft Cell Dual Density rubber outsole is resistant to oil, acid, organic fat and meets the prEN 13287 standards for slip-resistance.
