When the alarm sounds, you need all your concentration to work fast and work smart. These Thorogood 807 6001 Lined Hellfire Boots are built to let you keep your mind on your work rather than worrying about your footgear.
When you're in a structure on fire, smoke can make visibility problematic, so you don't always know where you're stepping. These boots have cushioned shin guards to minimize bone-jarring accidents and puncture-resisting steel midsoles to protect against jagged objects littering your environment. A tough steel shank give you extra support on uneven surfaces to decrease the chance of falling. You get even more protection as the Thorogood 807 6001 Hellfires are rated for Electrical Hazards (open circuits up to 600 volts) and are waterproof and Blood Borne Pathogen Compliant.
Working in a structure that is breaking down, falling pipes, walls, etc. pose a danger, and so the steel toes in this gear are nationally rated for both impact and compression protection.
The body of this boot is made of vulcanized rubber (More Than You Wanted To Know Dept.: Charles Goodyear invented this process to make rubber more durable-before, it would decompose and smell. There are pull-up handles for quick response, and reflective patches on the instep and heel so others can see you better. A PU knit-covered insole helps absorb foot shock, while the slip-resistant "Traction Cleat"rubber outsole is made to resist flames and heat.
